A mistake, but a wonderful mistake. "I love this shade. Never get rid of it! A little hair history here: I used to love always having burgundy hair, but since developing an allergy to most hair dyes, I use Manic Panic with no issues for years now. I have natural medium brown hair. I don't bleach my hair because I don't want to get any flare ups because since I had a very bad reaction to a box dye, it's like I've become sensitive to even bleach and so on, so I don't risk it. I always have used Vampire Red to give me a bright burgundy colour to my brown hair. Last week, my red was fading and went to my local Sally's to pick up some more vampire red. I guess the wrong colour was on the vampire red shelf, and when I got home I noticed it was this cat tail. I looked up what colour it was, and thought, well what's the worse that could happen. I put it on, and with the faded vampire red under it, it made my hair this beautiful cherry cola colour. I am in love! Also on my grow out of my natural light-medium brown hair, it added this pretty chocolate reddish tone to it, which blends so nice into the new cherry cola part to the rest of the hair. I may actually start growing out my natural hair and keep up with cat tails as it's like my natural hair, only with a red tint that I love. Never discontinue this colour. You will have me for life! "This is gorgeous, but didn't really take much on the older lightened parts of my hair. I think that the photos on the site are a little misleading, it's definitely a lighter brown, but I still love it. I think another round of dye should do nicely! beautiful color but drying/not mosturizing enough "Cattail and Bat outta hell are beautiful colors, but these dyes dont offer the shine or moisture other dyes do. I find it a bit drying and that they leave my hair feeling brittle and stiff afterwards. Tried the new supernatural shades "I usually love Manic Panic....it's the only brand I would use forever...so when I needed to go back to a more natural shade, the new options felt right and I was excited to show support and also not in the least worried because of all my other stellar results that lasted way longer than I imagined. Well...I didn't do anything differently except use these new shades and they were beautiful for a week and only washed with cold once in that time. The next time I washed, there was next to no color left. I was so angry I spent the money only to have less than two weeks of color. Extremely dismayed by this.
