How to Dye

Always perform a patch test 24–48 hours before use.

  1. Pre-lighten: For brightest pink results, pre-lighten hair to light blonde using Flash Lightning® Bleach Kit.
  2. Cleanse: Shampoo with Prepare to Dye® Clarifying Shampoo and towel-dry.
  3. Prep: Apply Stellar Shield™ Barrier Cream along hairline.
  4. Apply: Fully saturate clean, damp hair.
  5. Process: 30 minutes.
  6. Rinse: Rinse with cool water until clear.
  7. Style: Dry and style as desired.

"I’m very surprised. I followed the instructions precisely but most of the color seems gone after only two shampoos! Normally I color only dry hair (not damp) and use a vinegar rinse afterwards. Different from these instructions. Not sure if that made the difference? On the other side, the gel is much easier to apply than the standard solution. Thanks."
